The shareholders of General Development Services LLC had established the organization with a zeal to transform the dry barren homeland, to a beautiful green array of nature. With a team of just 2 workers, GDS started executing small residential backyard maintenance projects.

This year marked the steady growth of GDS towards dominating the landscaping market. With proven zeal and calibre, we pushed ourselves to provide the best services to all our clients. GDS bagged its first sizeable large-scale project with State Consultative Council (known as Majlis Al Shura today).

The year of recognition GDS LLC was awarded the contract to construct the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, a world-class football stadium that would host the 1996 Arabian Gulf cup. The timely completion of the project and the sheer scale of the project gained GDS LLC the reputation of the best landscapers amongst the GCC countries. Seeing the success of the project, GDS LLC was awarded the construction of most of the football grounds that we see across the Sultanate today.

Awarded the Landscaping and Irrigation contract for Sultan Qaboos University, which is maintained by us till today.

GDS successfully designed, constructed, and handed over many FIFA Spec football grounds to the Ministry of Sports. Key Projects- The completion of over 9 football grounds earned us appreciation from the GCC football Association as one of the accredited Landscaping and Sports Turf construction companies.

GDS was awarded with the largest landscaping, irrigation, and maintenance contract for the Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO). With a growing reputation within the landscaping and irrigation sector, GDS decided to expand its operations. We became a full-fledged facilities management company to cater the growing portfolio of clients by inaugurating our very own Pest Control and Cleaning divisions.

Started our very own Trading Division and successfully signed Exclusive Distributorship Agreements with brands like SAB Germany, Gardena, Van Egmond, Everris, and more. These brands have grown over the years to become the market leaders in today’s chain of agricultural material supply across Oman.

GDS LLC ventured into opening Oman’s first mushroom production farm in Oman

We were awarded the contract for the hardscape, landscape, and irrigation of the iconic Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. This contract further helped GDS LLC gain its reputation as the leaders within the landscaping industry in Oman, and received a GCC wide acclaim for playing a crucial role in boosting tourist attractions in Oman

Our team with the support from the Ministry of Environment and Muscat Municipality ventured into the recycling and waste management sector. Over the years, Growers®, our organic compost brand is demanded amongst the household and commercial sectors across the entire Sultanate. Key projects- Built the state-of-the-art facility’s recycling of organic waste for Compost.

GDS LLC played a major role with the Muscat Municipality in designing, and the construction of the Sultan Qaboos Highway, and the majority of the roundabouts we see today. The sheer scale of implementation of this project tested GDS LLC to its limits and allowed us to skyrocket to become one of the known brand names within the Sultanate for its quality and scale of work executed.

GDS LLC bagged the contracts to perform all Hardscaping, Landscaping, and Irrigation projects for the majority of the Palaces in Oman, which includes the Bait Al Baraka 24 Bedroom Villa and Barracks at Guest House. Known for our quality of work, we continue to maintain these locations to date.

GDS LLC has successfully delivered hundreds of projects to various clients and continues to handle large-scale projects and maintenance contracts across its various divisions. Key projects completed were the MC1- Muscat International Airport, MC-5 Salalah International Airport, Royal Opera House, Al Kharijiya Street, and Water features, Bank Muscat Headquarters, and Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, ROP Hospital, and various other landmarks that we see across the various governorates of Oman.
